Barca Residency Academy U-15 midfielder Brooklyn Raines has been called to his first U.S. Soccer training camp. Raines will attend the U-14 BNT West Regional Identification Mini-Camp that will take place this weekend, January 17-21 in Carson, California at the StubHub Center.
Raines – only 13 years old, joined Barca Residency Academy after spending the previous five years with Inter FC Chicago. In addition to playing club with Inter FC, Raines also trained weekly at Barca Academy Chicago in preparation to compete at the DA level.
Raines is one of two 2005 born players on the all 2004 born U-15 Barca Residency Academy team. Though he is the youngest of the group and one of the smaller players on the field, Raines has had no problem establishing himself as a top midfielder in the DA U-15 age group.
