Academy Recap: Pre-Academy U17s and U19s have Strong Showing in Vegas

The Pre-Academy U-17s and U-19s traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada for a weekend of US Youth Soccer National League Desert Conference competition formerly known as the Desert Premier League. The teams combined for an overall 5-1 record, bringing home 15 out of 18 points.
US Youth Soccer National League Desert Conference
The U-19s finished the weekend with an undefeated 3-0 record. They are currently No. 3 in the Desert Conference standings with a game in hand. A win in their final conference match will crown them conference champions, granting them a spot in the regional championships.
The U-17s advanced to the number three spot in the Desert Conference standings after finishing the weekend in Vegas 2-1. They have one game remaining with the potential of tying for first or placing second, both outcomes will earn them an advancement to the regional championships.
The US Youth Soccer National League Desert Conference is one of 13 Conferences under the US Youth Soccer National Leagues Program in the Multi-State Tier. The Desert Conference consists of teams primarily from Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado.
The top teams in the Conference will earn advancement to the US Youth Soccer Regional Championships, part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, as well as a chance to earn a coveted spot in the National Tier of the Leagues Program, the US Youth Soccer National League.
