All three Barça Residency Academy Academy teams will return to U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) action this weekend as they host Silicon Valley Soccer Academy and Arsenal FC at Grande Sports World – Home of Barça Residency Academy in a weekend doubleheader.
The Pre-Academy U-16s, U-17s and U-19s are set to travel to Dallas, Texas on Saturday morning to compete in the 40th Annual Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup that will take place April 14-21 in the DFW Metroplex.
Academy Doubleheader (DA)
Barça Residency Academy USSDA action is slated to kick off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning with the U-15s and U-17s kicking off simultaneously against Silicon Valley Soccer Academy, followed by the U-19s at 11:30 a.m.
The Academy teams will take the field exactly 24-hours later as they host Arsenal FC at home with kickoff times at 9:00, 9:00 and 11:30 a.m.
Saturday will mark the first West Conference match-up of the season between DA Southwest Division- Barça Residency Academy and DA Northwest Division – Silicon Valley Soccer Academy with both sides looking for important wins.
On Sunday, Barça Residency Academy will square off with Arsenal FC in their second meeting of the season. Barça Residency Academy swept Arsenal FC on the road during the opening weekend of the 2018/19 DA season, they will look to complete a season sweep on Sunday.
Pre-Academy Dallas Cup
The Pre-Academy U-16s, U-17s and U-19s are set to compete in the 40th Annual Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup from April 14-21.
This annual event is one of the most prestigious youth soccer tournaments in the United States and it is widely regarded as one of the most competitive in the world. Held every spring during Easter Week, the invitation-only Dallas Cup selects the best teams out of the hundreds of qualified applications the tournament receives each year. The tournament traditionally consists of approximately 40% international teams, 40% state-side teams and 20% Dallas area teams.
