The Barça Residency Academy DA teams played host to Silicon Valley Soccer Academy and Arsenal FC last weekend in a doubleheader at Grande Sports World – Home of Barça Residency Academy.
The U-19s dominated the competition, posting two shutout wins in a 24-hour span. On Saturday, they routed Silicon Valley Soccer Academy by a resounding score of 10-0 and turned around to defeat Arsenal FC 4-0 the following day. The U-19s remain at the top of the table in the DA Southwest Division.

Barça Academy U-19
The Barça Residency Academy U-19s posted their most dominant performance to date on Saturday when they defeated Silicon Valley Soccer Academy 10-0.
Arjan Dosanjh who earned Top Drawer Soccer Weekly Standout honors scored an impressive four goals (35’, 47’, 59’, 87’) and the DA U-18/19 leading goal scorer, Matthew Hoppe, netted a brace (61’ and 64’). Nicolas Fernandez (19’), Musa Yansaneh (40’), Ryan Combe (57’) and Roberto Molina (72’) also scored.

The U-19s completed a season sweep of Arsenal FC after defeating them 4-0 on Sunday and 4-1 on September 1, 2018 in the first game of the 2018-19 season. Nicolas Fernandez (13’), Cameron Fisher (16’) Roberto Molina (67) and Arjan Dosanjh (86’) scored for Barça.
Goalkeeper Luke Pruter was in goal for Barca Residency Academy over the weekend and recorded his second and third clean sheet of the season.
Barça Academy U-17
The U-17s split their results over the weekend, they fell 3-2 to Silicon Valley Soccer Academy on Saturday but followed up with a 4-0 shutout win over Arsenal FC on Sunday. Ronan Kratt finished the weekend with three goals, scoring one on Saturday and two on Sunday. Andrew David, Ulysses Martinez and Dante Williams also scored in the doubleheader.
Barça Academy U-15
The Barça Residency Academy U-15s finished the weekend 0-2, falling 3-0 to Silicon Valley and 2-1 to Arsenal FC. Jason Guzman scored the U-15s lone goal of the weekend.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Academy teams will face San Diego Surf on Saturday, April 27 in Del Mar, California with the U-15s scheduled to kick off at 9:00 am, the U-17s at 11:00 a.m. and the U-19s at 1:00 p.m.
