Barca Residency Academy alumnus and Orange County SC forward Bryce Jamison has signed a three-year contract with the Colorado Rapids through 2027, becoming Orange County SC’s first-ever MLS transfer.
“Bryce is a player who exhibits the qualities and characteristics of a Rapids player,” said Fran Taylor, Colorado Rapids Sporting Director. “We are excited by his ability to unbalance teams with his vertical running, and his team-first mentality is something we look for in all of our players. With almost 70 professional appearances at the age of 19, his career is well established. We think his game will continue to improve under our care as we have done with many players before.”
Jamison, 19, signed his first professional contract with Orange County SC in 2022 from Barca Residency Academy. He spent four seasons with the USL Championship side and recorded seven goals in 62 appearances.
During his time at Barca Residency Academy, Jamison represented both the U-17 and U-19 teams during the 2021-22 season. At just 16 years old, he played a pivotal role in helping the U-19 squad win the Southwest Division and qualify for the 2022 MLS NEXT Playoffs. He tallied seven goals in 13 appearances that season and was one of only three non-MLS academy players selected for the inaugural MLS NEXT All-Star team. Before joining Barca Residency Academy, the Atlanta, Georgia native spent time at Atlanta United Academy.
On the international stage, Jamison has represented the United States at the U-17 level. He received call-ups for international friendlies and the 2023 U-17 World Cup, making his national team debut on September 6, 2023, in a friendly against Ukraine. During the tournament, he appeared in all three group-stage matches against South Korea, Burkina Faso, and France, as well as the Round of 16 match against Germany, where the U.S. U-17s were eliminated in a narrow 3-2 defeat.
As part of the transfer deal, Jamison will remain with Orange County SC on loan for the 2025 season before joining the Rapids. His contract includes club options for the 2028 and 2029 seasons.
