It was a full weekend of competition across all leagues for Barça Residency Academy, producing a mix of results and plenty of standout performances. The MLS NEXT Academy teams kicked things off at home on Saturday against RSL-AZ, while the Homegrown squads travelled north on the I-10 to face Phoenix Rising Academy. On Sunday, action continued at the Grande Sports World as the U-20 USL Academy team hosted UDA from New Mexico State University in the morning, followed by the UPSL team’s evening clash with RSL-AZ.
MLS NEXT Academy vs. RSL-AZ
The Academy sides recorded a win, a draw, and two narrow defeats in Saturday’s matchups, highlighted by the U-17s’ dominant 3–1 victory and a heartbreaking high scoring match by the U-16s.

The Homegrown teams produced strong performances on the road, earning two wins, one draw, and one loss against Phoenix Rising Academy.

U-15s: W 2–1 (Arman Alagha, Ethan O’Neil)
USL Academy vs. UDA
Barça’s U-20s set the tone on Sunday morning with a convincing 2–0 win over New Mexico State University’s UDA. Xavi Cisneros led the way with both goals, while goalkeeper Aaron Tamer secured the clean sheet.
UPSL vs. RSL-AZ
The UPSL team capped off the weekend with an exciting 5–2 victory over RSL-AZ on Sunday night. Joe Selinger, Graham Ford, and Leiston Stoddard found the back of the net to close out a successful weekend at the Grande.
