Casa Grande, AZ – The Barca Residency Academy MLS Next teams complete their fourth undefeated game-day of the season as they went up against Phoenix’s RSL-Arizona at Grande Sports World – Home of Barca Residency Academy on Friday night. Barca’s four teams scored an impressive 14 goals while only allowing three from the opposition, gathering a total of 10 points in the competition.
Barca’s U-19s defeated RSL-AZ by a score of 5-2, the U-17s battled to a 1-1 draw, the U16’s took a 2-0 victory, while the U-15s surged to a 6-0 win over RSL-AZ.
Barça Residency Academy U-19s 5-2 RSL-AZ
Barca’s U-19s remain undefeated (4W-0L-1D) after their 5-2 win over RSL-AZ. Joel Torbic put in a fantastic performance as he recorded an assist as well as a fabulous goal from the half to catch the keeper off his line. Isaiah Thomas, Joey Velasquez, Yahir Gonzalez, and Darian Castillo also contributed to the scoreline as they cruised past RSL Arizona.
Barça Residency Academy U-17s 1-1 RSL-AZ
Barca’s U-17s battled to a 1-1 draw and secured a point against RSL-AZ. Aidan Marquez slotted a goal early to put his team up but RSL-AZ pulled one back to secure a tie.
Barça Residency Academy U-16s 2-0 RSL-AZ
Barca’s U-16s collected three points on Friday night with a 2-0 victory over RSL-AZ. Anthony Perez made the headlines as he scored his second consecutive brace which included a wonderful strike from outside the box that hit off the post and into the net.
Barça Residency Academy U-15s 6-0 RSL-AZ
The Barca U-15s put in another impressive offensive shift as they placed six goals past RSL-AZ in a 6-0 shutout. Bora Eldem was brilliant as he secured a brace. Isaiah Kaakoush bagged a 25-yard freekick goal to end the game. Dylan Thomas, Chris Runde, and Diego Zepeda all contributed with a goal each including a clean sheet kept by Connor Kirkpatrick. The U-15s improved to a 6-1 record.
