Barca Residency Academy alumnus Brooklyn Raines rostered for USMNT for 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup

Brooklyn Raines to Represent USMNT at 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup

Barca Residency Academy alumnus and Houston Dynamo FC midfielder Brooklyn Raines will represent the United States at the upcoming 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Head coach Marko Mitrovi announced the 21-man roster earlier today, with Raines among the standout selections.

A rising U.S. Men’s National Team prospect, Raines has been a consistent presence in the U-20 setup throughout 2025, earning four call-ups this year alone. He most recently joined the team for September’s training camp in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain, as final preparations for the World Cup intensified.

The 20-year-old midfielder has already left his mark on the international stage. He played in every match of the 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship, highlighted by a decisive goal in the Semifinals against Panama that secured the U.S. a spot in the Final versus Mexico.

While representing his country, Raines has also continued to establish himself as a first-team regular with Houston Dynamo FC. Since making his MLS debut at just 17 years old in September 2022, he has logged 45 appearances across regular season and postseason play. He holds multiple club records as the youngest Dynamo player to both start (at 18 years, 14 days) and complete a full MLS match (at 19 years, 208 days).

Raines joined Barca Residency Academy in 2018, where he spent four seasons before signing his first professional contract with Houston Dynamo in 2022.
