Bryce Jamison Signs First Professional Contract with Orange County SC

Sixteen-year-old Barca Residency Academy forward Bryce Jamison has signed his first professional contract with 2021 USL Championship Winners, Orange County SC (OCSC).

“I am really excited for this new journey and very thankful to Orange Country SC for this opportunity,” said Jamison. “I’m looking forward to developing as a player, and scoring my first professional goal.”

The Atlanta, Georgia native join Barca Residency Academy from Atlanta United ahead of the 2021-22 season. Jamison burst onto the scene scoring five goals in his first eight starts with Barca’s U-17 team. Jamison was quickly moved up to the U-19 squad where he helped his team win the MLS Next Southwest Division and secure a 2022 MLS Next Cup Playoffs berth. The youngster scored seven goals in 13 games with Barca’s U-19s including the equalizer against FC Dallas in the first round of the MLS Next Cup Playoffs.

Jamison’s impressive season earned him a spot in the inaugural MLS Next All-Star game that took place in Minnesota last month. He also earned a call-up from United States U-17 Men’s Youth National Team Head Coach Gonzalo Segares for the August domestic training camp.

“We are extremely excited to see Bryce sign his first professional contract with Orange County SC,” said Ged Quinn Barca Residency Academy Director and U-19 Head Coach. “Bryce is an exceptional talent with a ton of potential and we are sure that he will thrive in the environment at OCSC. This will be just the beginning of an exciting professional career for Bryce and we look forward to monitoring his future success within the game. He will always have the full support from everyone here at Barça Residency Academy and he fully deserves this opportunity to go and prove himself in the USL. We could not be prouder of him!”

Jamison is the second player to sign a professional contract with Orange County SC straight from Barca Residency Academy, following the footsteps of former teammate Korede Osundina who signed with the club in January. Jamison becomes Barca Residency Academy’s sixth player to ink a professional contract since January.

“We are delighted to sign Bryce, he is an elite level youth prospect, and one of the most exciting players within his age group in the nation,” OCSC Sporting Director, Peter Nugent said. “He is a player that we have tracked for a long time and believe he is the perfect fit for our pathway. With the right guidance, he has all the potential to play at a very high level.”

Jamison’s first chance of action will come on Saturday, September 24 when OCSC takes on Pittsburgh Riverhounds at 4:00 PM MST on ESPN+.
