Two players from Barça Residency Academy Arizona recently spent ten days in Barcelona to assess their progress and development. During their stay, Ezra VanCleave and Juda Casas trained with FC Barcelona’s Cadet A and Juvenil B teams, gaining valuable experience alongside some of the club’s top youth talent.
The players were selected jointly by the coaching staffs in Arizona and Barcelona, based on their performance, attitude, and overall growth throughout the season.
But the trip wasn’t just about football. Coinciding with El Clásico, the players had the chance to watch the iconic match live alongside supporters from Penya Barcelonista l’Avenç, experiencing firsthand the passion and excitement that define Barça fandom.
They also attended the Barça Atlètic vs. Poblense match, which ended in a 2-2 draw at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, as well as Juvenil A’s UEFA Youth League debut, a 3-0 victory over Olympiacos.
To round out their visit, Ezra and Juda explored the Barça Museum, where they learned about more than 125 years of club history and the legacy that continues to inspire generations of players.
This initiative continues to strengthen the connection between Barça Residency Academy Arizona and FC Barcelona’s youth development system, offering players opportunities for both soccer and personal growth.
