Casa Grande, Ariz – On Tuesday, February 4th, four Barça Residency Academy seniors signed their National Letter of Intent to further their education and soccer career at NCAA Division I universities in the Fall of 2020. The signees included:
Jacob Fitzgerald – California State University, Bakersfield
Luke Lawrence – Dayton University
Ulrich Schmidt – Elon University
Nathan Schnur – Creighton University
The signing ceremony/banquet was held on the Grande Sports World campus in the Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort ballroom. The signees were joined by their coaches, academy staff, teachers, teammates, family, and friends.
The NCAA’s National Letter of Intent (NLI) is a binding agreement between a prospective student-athlete and an NLI member institution. By signing an NLI, the student-athlete agrees to attend the institution full-time for one academic year, while the institution agrees to provide athletics financial aid for one academic year.
