Today marks the beginning of an exciting stretch for Barca Residency Academy’s teams as they compete on multiple fronts. The U16 MLS Next team is set to start their 2025 Generation Adidas Cup journey in Bradenton, Florida – an eight-day international event. Meanwhile, all four Elite Academy teams will showcase their skills at the EA Spring event in Tucson, Arizona. In the midst, Barca’s U17 and U19 MLS Next teams will take on RSL-AZ at home on Saturday.
Generation Adidas Cup
The 2025 Generation Adidas Cup will be the largest and most competitive edition to date, bringing together 80 teams from 14 countries and four continents. Hosted at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, from April 12-20, this premier international tournament provides a high-level platform for the world’s top youth clubs.
Barca Residency Academy was drawn into Group A where they will face Sporting Kansas City Academy, DC United Academy, and PSV Eindhoven of the Netherlands. Select GA Cup matches, including the championship finals, will stream live on the MLS YouTube page.

Elite Academy Spring Event
Barca Residency Academy’s Elite Academy teams will compete in the EA Spring Event at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson from April 11-14. This annual showcase gathers top U15-U19 teams from across the country, offering elite competition and valuable collegiate exposure.
Each team will play three matches, beginning Friday, April 11, with games scheduled through Monday, April 14. Games can be streamed on BallerTV.

MLS Next at Home
Barca’s U17 and U19 MLS Next squads will host RSL-AZ in regular league play on Saturday, April 12. The U19s kick off at 9:00 AM, followed by the U17s at 11:00 AM at Grande Sports World – Home of Barca Residency Academy.
