A pair of Barca Residency Academy student-athletes have been called to upcoming U.S. Soccer Men’s Youth National Team training camps. U.S. Soccer announced on Tuesday that Bryce Jamison, 2006, has been named to the 23-player U-17 MYNT roster while Leo Orejanera, 2007, has been named to the U-16 MYNT roster. Both camps will take place concurrently from August 18-24 at the Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
A 2021-2022 MLS Next All-Star, Bryce Jamison earns his first national team camp call-up. The forward joined Barca Residency Academy in the fall of 2021 and burst onto the scene scoring five goals in his first eight starts for Barca’s U-17 team. Jamison was quickly moved up to the U-19 squad where he helped his team win the MLS Next Southwest Division and secure a spot in the MLS Next Cup Playoffs. Jamison scored seven goals in 13 games for Barca’s U-19 squad including a goal in the first round of the MLS Next Cup Playoffs.
