Barça Residency Academy’s Lucas Lederhandler was called up to the Honduras U-17 Youth National Team. Lucas attended an international training camp from August 31 to September 7 in Siguatepeque, Honduras.
The 2010-born defender received his first-ever call-up to the Honduras Youth National Team. This marks an exciting milestone early in his time at Barça Residency Academy. Coming from Lake Worth, Florida, Lederhandler joined the Academy after playing for the MLS NEXT side South Florida FA.
Lederhandler will now turn his attention back to club competition as he prepares to compete with Barça Residency Academy’s U-17 MLS NEXT Homegrown team. The team opens its 2026–27 season this weekend in the Los Angeles area with a doubleheader against LAFC and LASC.
