Two 2011-born Barça Residency Academy talents have once again earned call-ups to the U.S. Soccer U-15 Boys National Team for an upcoming international training camp in Varazdin, Croatia.
Ethan O’Neil and Diego Ros were named to head coach Ross Brady’s 22-player roster for the camp, which will run May 14–24 with participation in the 2026 Vlatko Markovic International Tournament.
During the camp, the USA will play four matches, facing South Korea on May 19th, Switzerland on May 20th, Portugal on May 22nd, and an opponent to be determined on May 24th.
A busy semester of opportunity and travel continues for this duo of 2011-born Barca Residency Academy players. Both players are coming off a successful showing at the MLS Next Flex event—winning their group and qualifying for the 2026 MLS Next Cup Playoffs. They have also attended the 10-day Barca Academy Training Camp in Barcelona, Spain, back in January, amongst their heavy involvement in recent U.S. Soccer Youth National Team programming. This includes January and November Talent ID Centers, a USYNT International Training Camp in Cyprus in March, and a very recent call-up to a Domestic training camp for the USYNT in April, in which the duo played two matches against Mexico in Chula Vista, CA. Individually, Ethan O’Neil earned a call-up to the U.S. U-15 Youth National Team training camp in October, while Diego Ros has been involved with the program for the past two seasons.
The camp is part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
