My experience here at Barça Academy has been the greatest days of my life so far. It’s a wonderful experience here at Barça Academy, living as if we are mini professional players. The fact of having a family like the one here at Barça Academy is the greatest. I am having the best years of my life here in the Academy of Barça.
Ever since I was young, I’ve always dreamed of being in an academy. I remember being the worst soccer player at the age of 7 but my hard work has brought me to where I am now and I am so proud of myself.
Barça is the greatest team out there right now and how awesome is it to actually be apart of their one and only U.S. academy, once again, it’s a dream come true. I am ready and willing to make all the coaches proud and to be the best player I can be, I especially want to be the best left back there is. The Barça staff and everyone here has been so friendly and helpful. We are a family here and together we will make Barça Academy just as great as FCB, it is our first year but I look forward to when we are a strong experienced team. The power in our name does not allow us to quit or to stop, it makes us work harder to be unstoppable. My teammates and I play for the name on the front of our jersey but they will remember the name on the back.
When I first heard of this academy, I couldn’t believe that they wanted me to represent Barça. My dream is to become a pro soccer player and this is my chance to demonstrate what I have to Barça and the world. This year is my time to shine and why not do it while representing Barça.
Training here and playing is a very different style of play, it’s the Barça way. When I first got here, I thought, “I got this” but there has actually been a lot of little things that I have had to fix and work on, but I know I will get there.
Overall, my experience here at Barça Academy has been amazing. They have taught me how to act on and off the field. They have also taught me how to be a responsible and mature person. I thank Barça for the opportunity they have given me and I promise to never let our Barça family down. I will continue to work to my fullest ability at practice and during our games. I also promise to continue to give it my all in my school to one day be out there in a professional stadium representing this amazing FAMILY.
Barça Academy will lead me to my future!!!
