Barca Residency Academy’s U-16 and U-17 Academy teams got their first taste of action in 2026, competing in the local Arizona Soccer Clash Tournament over the weekend. Both teams played up an age group and finished as undefeated champions, bringing home the first trophies of the new year.
The U-16s put on an impressive showing while competing in the U-17 age bracket. Over three matches, they outscored their opponents 17–5, controlling games from start to finish and securing the championship with a convincing weekend on the pitch.
The U-17s delivered a dominant performance, stepping up to compete in the U-19 bracket. The squad scored 16 goals in three matches, defeating RSL-AZ North, Phoenix Premier, and City SC Utah, while conceding just one goal en route to claiming the championship title.
Looking Ahead
All four Barça Residency Academy teams will return to action at the Presidents’ Day Tournament, taking place February 13–16 in Phoenix, Arizona.
