Barca Residency Academy’s U-16 team has clinched the 2023-24 MLS Next Southwest Division Championship, securing the academy’s second division title of the season.
Coach Carl Francazio and his U-16 squad triumphed in the 19-team division with an impressive record of 15 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw. Their season performance has not only earned them the championship title but also a coveted spot in the 2024 MLS Next Cup Playoffs this summer.
The U-16s will gear up for the playoffs at the MLS Next Flex, which will take place May 10-14 in Boyds, Maryland. Following the event, Barca’s playoff bound teams (U-16, U-17, U-19) will return to Arizona for final preparations before MLS Next Cup Playoffs which will occur June 15-23 in Nashville, Tennessee.
