The U-20 USL Academy team traveled to New Mexico for a season-opening doubleheader, while the Elite Academy teams took center stage at Grande Sports World, hosting New Mexico Rapids with commanding performances.
2025 USL Academy Season Opener
The U-20 USL Academy squad kicked off the 2025 season with two hard-fought draws against worthy opponents. On Saturday, Barca battled New Mexico United to a thrilling 4-4 draw, with goals from Makai Wells, Nolan Tinsley, Lorenzo Tuch, and Bodie Ford. The team returned to action on Sunday, securing another point in a 1-1 (Xavi Cisneros) draw against University Development Academy.
Elite Academy Teams Dominate New Mexico Rapids
Barca’s Elite Academy teams delivered a statement performance at home, overwhelming New Mexico Rapids with a combined 30 goals across four matches while conceding just one.
- U-19s: 5-0 (Haiun x2, Fuentes, Figueroa, Castillo)
- U-17s: 14-0 (Bojorque x3, Baruch x3, Willis x2, Trollope x2, Abgaryan, Brones, Vidrio, Ford)
