Jeannine had a great time at the Barca Camp!  She reported back to me many clear tactical situations that were solidified for her throughout the camp. She is a quality player and during her first return practice with her FC Dallas team, she showed renewed confidence and growth! It was a pleasure knowing that she thoroughly enjoyed herself, along with her friends and the new friends she made!

-Amy, Texas

“I have been observing the training this week. And I am just so impressed with the quality, precision and vision that I can’t thank you enough. The education Barca is providing is by far the best I have seen around the world. I have been studying the game since the 70’s and have never seen this quality before. As I told you, I brought top professional coaches to Arizona from Brasil, and the Barca curriculum even exceeds Brasil’s.

Would you do me a huge favor and thank Xavi for me. I just want to thank Xavi for coming to America to expose American players to the proper way of playing the game. I, Josh and my other players will be eternally grateful to Xavi, you and all the Barca staff for dedicating to bettering Soccer in America.”

-Glenn, Arizona

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do campers need to be at a specific skill level to attend?

Our camp is open to players of all skill levels. Campers are primarily grouped by age to create a balanced training environment. Within those groups, our coaching staff may make adjustments based on each player's development level to ensure everyone is appropriately challenged. Every participant will have the opportunity to grow and improve while training with the Barça methodology.

What does a typical day at camp look like?

A typical day begins with breakfast, followed by an early-morning on-field training session. After training, campers take part in organized activities led by our Resident Advisor (RA) staff before lunch.

Following lunch, campers have a mandatory rest period to allow for recovery. In the afternoon, players participate in indoor sessions in the performance center, which may include strength and conditioning, film review, or futsal. The day concludes with an evening training session after sunset, followed by dinner. Campers return to their rooms by 9:00 p.m. for room check and rest.

What are the residential accommodations like?

Campers who select the residential option stay at our on-campus resort hotel. Players share a room with another camper from a similar age group and team. Each room includes two separate beds and a shared bathroom.

For safety and privacy, parents are not permitted inside the player rooms. If a camper has a specific roommate request, it can be submitted during the registration process, and we will do our best to accommodate it.

What meals are provided during the camp?

All meals are provided through our on-campus dining facility, which also serves our full-time academy players during the year. Campers receive a buffet-style breakfast, lunch, a snack, and dinner each day.

Meals are designed to be balanced and nutritious to support the physical demands of training. Our campus also features two restaurants that campers may order from in addition to vending machines available throughout campus.

If a player has dietary restrictions or food allergies, these can be noted during registration, and our staff will accommodate their needs.

What activities are available outside of soccer training?

In addition to on-field training, campers participate in a variety of soccer-related and recreational activities. These may include futsal, strength and conditioning sessions, film review, recovery and stretching sessions, teqball, crafts, water games, swimming, and more.

Campers also have access to the Chill Lounge, where they can relax and enjoy the pool, books, chess, ping-pong, video games, and watch soccer matches on TV.

Multi-week campers enjoy a fun off-campus excursion over the weekend and a trip to the grocery store.

How do you ensure player safety in the Arizona heat?

Player safety is our top priority, especially during the Arizona summer. All on-field sessions are scheduled for early morning and after sunset to avoid the hottest parts of the day. Midday sessions take place in our 58,000 sq. ft. indoor, air-conditioned performance center. Additionally, our certified athletic trainers closely monitor weather conditions and regulate hydration breaks to ensure players stay safe, hydrated, and healthy throughout each session.

What happens if there are extreme weather conditions?

In the rare case that weather conditions make outdoor training unsafe, sessions will be moved indoors to our 58,000 sq. ft. performance center. This allows players to continue their development in a safe and controlled environment without interrupting the camp experience.

Is medical staff available on-site?

Yes. Certified athletic trainers are present at all training sessions to monitor player health and safety. In addition, our RA staff closely supervises all camp activities throughout the day.

If a more serious medical situation occurs, staff will ensure the player receives immediate care and, if necessary, will transport them to a nearby medical facility.

How is camp supervision managed?

Campers are supervised by our Resident Advisor (RA) team, which is overseen by the Director of Player Care & Academy Operations. RAs organize daily activities, supervise campers throughout the day, and conduct nightly room checks at 9:00 p.m.

An RA is always on duty, players and families can reach the RA on-duty hotline 24/7 if they have questions or concerns during the camp.

Can parents visit or watch training sessions?

Yes, parents are welcome to visit and observe training sessions. We kindly ask that videos are not recorded during sessions, though photos are permitted.

Our staff will also share official camp photos through Flickr so families can relive and share the experience.
