Two of four of Barca Residency Academy’s teams brought home the tournament title last weekend at the 2023 Desert Super Cup in Phoenix.
Barca’s Elite Academy U19s won their third straight tournament with yet another undefeated outing after winning the Arsenal Challenge and the Arizona Soccer Clash earlier this season. They netted 14 goals in four games and defeated FC Arizona 4-0 in the tournament championship behind a brace from Ethan Wallin and goals from Jiro Uchida and Noa Stasic.
Meanwhile, Barca’s U17 Elite Academy team earned their first tournament championship of the season. They secured three clean sheets and scored 14 goals in in route to the championship game. They defeated Phoenix Rising 4-2 (1-1 Jan Kubacki) in a thrilling penalty shootout to become champions of the U17 Super Pro group.
Barca Residency Academy’s Elite Academy teams will enjoy a winter break and return to action in January.
