The No. 1 ranked Barça Residency Academy Pre-Academy U-19s will host No. 2 SC del Sol 00′ tomorrow at 12:00 PM at Grande Sports World – Home of Barça Residency Academy in their final U.S. Youth Soccer Desert Conference match.
A win for Barça Residency Academy will crown them the 2019 U-19 U.S. Youth Soccer Desert Conference Champions with advancement to the U.S. Youth Soccer Regional Championships that will take place June 17-19 in Boise, Idaho.
Pre-Academy U-19 vs. SC del Sol 00′
Barça Residency Academy and SC del Sol are no strangers to one another. They squared off less than two weeks ago, on March 24th, in the 2019 U-19 Phoenix Cup Final where SC del Sol defeated a depleted U-19 Barça Residency Academy side 5-4 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in regulation.
With their full roster healthy and ready to compete, Barça Residency Academy will look to avenge their Phoenix Cup loss and handle business against SC del Sol on Saturday to claim the 2019 U-19 Desert Conference title.
Pre-Academy U-17 vs. SC del Sol 02′
The No. 2 ranked Barça Residency Academy Pre-Academy U-17s will also host SC del Sol on Saturday. Kickoff will be at 10:00 AM at Grande Sports World – Home of Barça Residency Academy.
Barça Residency Academy U-17s are currently third in the Desert Conference standings. A win over SC del Sol on Saturday will earn them a second-place finish in the Desert Conference with potential advancement to the U.S. Youth Soccer Regional Championships.
The U.S. Youth Soccer National League Desert Conference is one of 13 Conferences under the US Youth Soccer National Leagues Program in the Multi-State Tier. The Desert Conference consists of eight teams primarily from Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. A win for Barca Residency Academy on Saturday will also grant the Academy a chance to earn a coveted spot in the national tier of the league’s program, the U.S. Youth Soccer National League.
