Barca Residency Academy newcomer Gavin Baker has been called-up to the Guam Football Association U-17 Men’s National Team for the Asian Football Confederation (ACF) U-17 Asian Cup Bahrain 2023 Qualifiers that will take place October 1-9 in Cibinong, Indonesia.
Guam U-17 National Team Head Coach Samuel San Gil called up 23 players for the final traveling squad.
Guam’s group features the host country Indonesia, as well as Malaysia, Palestine, and United Arab Emirates. Guam’s opener will be against the United Arab Emirates on October 1, followed by a match against Indonesia on October 3. Guam will then face Malaysia on October 5, before taking a three-day break. Guam’s final match will be against Palestine on October 9. All matches will be played at the Pakansari Stadium in Cibinong in Bogor, about 30 miles from the capital, Jakarta.
The winning team from each of the 10 groups and the top five second-place group finishers will advance to the final round and compete for the 2023 Asian Cup title. The final round serves as Asian qualification for the FIFA U17 World Cup.
