MLS Next Teams Cruise to Second Consecutive Undefeated Gameday

8-0, Barca Residency Academy’s MLS Next teams are a perfect 8-0 after gameday 2 of the season.

Over the weekend, Barca Residency Academy’s MLS Next teams cruised to yet another undefeated gameday as they took on Nomads SC at Grande Sports World – Home of Barca Residency Academy. Barca’s four teams scored a combined 23 goals while only conceding two from their opponent.  

Barca Residency Academy U-19s

Barca’s U-19s secured a hard-fought victory with a score of 2-1 vs. Nomads SC. Both goals were netted by Yahir Gonzalez who had a brilliant performance to seal the victory and a brace for himself.

Barca Residency Academy U-17s

Barca’s U-17s delivered a dominant performance, winning 9-0 in an impressive outing. The goals were spread amongst the team, Diego Zepeda led the charge with a hat-trick. Leo Orejarena followed with a brace, while Bodie Ford, Josh Sosa, Anthony Perez, and Dylan Thomas also got in on the scoring action.

Barca Residency Academy U-16s

Barca’s U-16s followed as they cruised to a commanding 6-1 victory after a dazzling man-of-the-match performance from Xavi Cisneros who bagged a hat-trick. George Padilla, Emilio Fimbres, Bora Eldem contributed with goals as well, showcasing a total team effort.

Barca Residency Academy U-15s

Barca’s U-15s finished off the day with a resounding 6-0 win vs. Nomads. David Gluck had a standout performance, scoring four goals as he showcased his true ability as a striker. Elijah Montgomery and Jordan Interiano also found the back of the net, while Xavier Lopez kept a clean sheet in goal.

Looking Ahead

Next up, Barca’s MLS Next teams have their first road test as they head to Los Angeles, California this weekend to take on LA Surf and FC Golden State in a weekend doubleheader.
