The highly anticipated MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs will begin this Saturday, June 15, at the Richard Siegel Sports Complex in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Barca Residency Academy has qualified to compete in all four age groups (U15, U16, U17, and U19), one of only three clubs in North America to accomplish this feat.
The MLS Next Cup is a single-elimination knockout tournament featuring the top 32 teams in each of the four different age groups. All 128 teams qualified for the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs based on results from league play or by winning their respective group at MLS NEXT Flex, a qualifying event that took place from May 10-14.
Barca Residency Academy’s U16, U17, and U19 teams qualified from league play. The U16s and U17s won the MLS NEXT Southwest Division, while the U19s placed second in the division. The U15s earned their playoff spot by going an impressive 3-0-0 (W-L-D) and winning their respective group at the MLS Next Flex.

June 15
- 9:30 AM – Barca Residency Academy U16 vs. Diablo Valle FC (CA); Field 20
- 8:15 PM – Barca Residency Academy U15 vs. Toronto FC; Field 19
June 16
- 9:30 AM – Barca Residency Academy U19 vs. Miami Rush Kendall; Field 16
- 5:15 PM – Barca Residency Academy U17 vs. Charlotte FC; Field 13
Format
- MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs matches will be 80 minutes in the U15 age group and 90 minutes in the other three age groups.
- If the match is tied at the end of regulation, all games will head to penalty kicks, except for the four championship matches, which will feature two five-minute periods of extra time.
- If the championship matches are still tied after the extra time periods, they will then head to penalty kicks to decide a winner.
Streaming
22 MLS NEXT Cup Playoff games, including all four championship matches, will stream live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, the subscription service from Apple and Major League available in more than 100 countries and regions. Across the four age groups represented in the playoffs, two round of 32 matches, two round of 16 matches, six quarterfinal games, and each of the eight semifinal contests will also be available to watch on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
